Née Jude Gilliam, Jude Deveraux was born in Fairdale, Kentucky in 1947. Deveraux is a Murray State University alumna who received a degree in art and competed for the varsity rifle team. She is a prolific romance novelist with 43 New York Times bestsellers including Sweet Liar, the Nantucket series, Remembrance, and A Knight in Shining Armor, with more coming. Over 60 million copies of her books are in print. Deveraux primarily writes historical romances with strong female protagonists. More recent of her works are in the mystery genre with occult themes, with titles such as A Willing Murder, A Justified Murder, A Forgotten Murder, and A Relative Murder. Along with her over 60 million sales, Jude Deveraux was the 2013 Romantic Times Pioneer Award winner. Her books are available from her website or from her publisher, Simon & Schuster, along with most major book store chains.
