The Workday Student implementation means we’ll all need to learn new terminology, system navigation, and updated processes. To help with this transition, the Summit Project team wants to start helping the community become confident in our new system and its features.
Stay informed
Stay up to date by reviewing project updates, timelines, and communications to understand what’s changing and when. We’ll continue to share the latest information on the Workday Student Project and Student project update pages.
Use and share the language
Terminology currently used in legacy systems will change with Workday Student. Familiarize yourself with the new terminology and use it consistently when talking with colleagues and students. To see examples of some of the new terminology, check out the “What will you do in Workday” (WWYD) articles for Instructors, Administrative Staff, and Advisors. We also plan on updating the Summit Project website with a Workday Student Glossary in the coming months.
Point to the right resources
Direct colleagues to the Workday Student FAQs, introduction video, and upcoming training materials. The Summit Project website is also a great resource for staying up to date on what’s happening.
