Workday Student is a modern, cloud-based Student Information System (SIS) that serves as a central platform for managing a student's entire journey from admission through graduation.
It is designed to offer a user-friendly experience with self-service capabilities. The system will replace older student systems and unifies administrative and student tasks.
Many of our systems that we currently use to conduct business have reached their end-of-life or are no longer supported by their vendors. By incorporating the functionality needed to complete student processes into our existing Workday platform, we can realize better alignment of practices, resulting in an enhanced user experience for our students, faulty and staff.
Beginning in spring 2027, students will be able to:
update personal information
register for classes
add or drop classes
view grades
view financial aid and financial information
access advising information
MHC students, faculty, and select staff.
Current students will begin using Workday in spring 2027. A more detailed timeline will be available soon.
Any MHC students, faculty, and staff who use the student information system will use Workday Student by summer 2027.
Mount Holyoke is already using Workday for HR, finance, student employment, and payroll functionality. The Student functionality will go live in phases beginning December 2026, with additional functionality being added over the course of 2027. For details about which functions will be available at what dates, view the project timelines.
This website and FAQ has both the background about the project and the most up-to-date information about the Workday Student implementation. You can also contact the Project & Change Management team if you have questions!
