The Izaak Walton League, a nonprofit dedicated to conserving America's natural resources, produces an annual report to summarize and celebrate its accomplishments.
At the end of 2021, I reviewed materials created during the year and assembled a list of noteworthy achievements. I used Canva to organize those achievements into an infographic.
We shared the infographic on social media and on other channels.
Izaak Walton League program staff wanted to share information on what happens to water quality when there is too much or too little rain.
I translated the information into simple points for a general audience. Then I used those points to create an infographic anchored by a call to action.
The infographic is below.
The Farm Bill is legislation that controls important conservation programs. In 2022, Congress was working on a new Farm Bill, and this was a major priority for the Izaak Walton League. Program staff asked me to create a form on our website that would serve as a "suggestion box," so we could gather ideas for the Farm Bill from a wider audience.
As ideas came into the suggestion box, I took the initiative to create graphics from those ideas. Sharing those graphics on social media both attracted more submissions to the suggestion box and promoted the League's work on a crucial initiative.
An example of the suggestion box graphics is below.
