About the Hosts

The 2022 National Urban Extension Conference is presented by the National Urban Extension Leaders and hosted by Rutgers Cooperative Extension with other members of the Northeast Regional Network.

National Urban Extension Leaders (NUEL)

NUEL began in 2013 as a grass-roots effort of passionate and committed urban Extension educators with the mission to advocate and advance the strategic importance and long-term value of urban Extension activities by being relevant locally, responsive statewide, and recognized nationally. NUEL is geared towards creating a network for collective impact currently with active participation from 23 states. Join your regional NUEL Network here.

The NUEL Steering Committee will host a meeting on Monday, May 23 from 8:00am-3:00pm at the conference. NUEL Steering Committee members are requested to register for the Steering Committee Meeting by Friday, March 25.

The meeting is open to all urban extensionists, so please consider registering to attend. Your experience and insight into the programming and administration of extension work in urban areas around the country is crucial to NUEL’s mission. See meeting agenda. The Steering Committee will report out on accomplishments, provide updates on strategic initiatives, and hear from the broader community.

If you are NOT attending the meeting in person, you do not need to register for a meeting ticket.
