Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: When may I register for the conference?

A: Registration for NUEC22 is currently open. Registration will stay open until all tickets are sold or until the event is over.

Q: Can I attend virtually?

A: The conference will be in person. To ensure optimal engagement among attendees, it will not be hybrid. Recordings from portions of the conference will be shared with the larger Extension community post-conference for those who were not able to attend. If you were selected as a speaker and are not able to attend in person, contact Tammy McCulloch (tammym@umn.edu) to discuss your delivery options.

Q: Can I register for a day rate?

A: No, day rate tickets are not available for general attendees. If you are a community group member participating on a panel and do not plan to stay for the full conference, contact Daniel Ilkow at dji25@scarletmail.rutgers.edu to discuss.

Q: Are there additional discounts for groups, educational institutions, nonprofits or government?

A: Ticket prices listed are sensitive to budget impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are no additional discounts on tickets for groups, educational institutions, nonprofits or government. Register while early bird tickets are available to receive a reduced rate. If you are a community group member participating on a panel and do not plan to stay for the full conference, contact Daniel Ilkow at dji25@scarletmail.rutgers.edu to discuss.

Q: When will the conference video recordings be available?

A: An announcement will be made after the conference regarding the video release dates.

Q: When should I receive Whova conference app login instructions?

A: Registrants will receive login information for the program dashboard upon finishing the registration process.

Q: What is Whova?

A: Whova is the registration portal and conference app provider. For more information about Whova, you can check out their FAQ page.

Q: In what time zone are conference sessions shown?

A: All sessions in the program are listed in Eastern Time (ET), the local time in New Jersey.

Q: I am a presenter/speaker at the conference, what should I do?

A: Confirm your acceptance with Tammy McCulloch (tammym@umn.edu) and register by March 4, 2022. After that, the conference organizers will be in touch with you to coordinate the details of your participation.

Q: How do I sign up for a Community Site Visit tour?

A: Due to site and bus capacities, if you want to participate in a site visit tour, you must sign up for a tour ticket (which is separate from your general conference registration ticket). You may find information about Community Site Visits and a link to sign up here.

Q: What your COVID-19 policy?

A: The conference will be held in-person at a Rutgers University venue. For the health and safety of all attendees and support staff at the conference, COVID-19 safety measures will align with Rutgers University guidelines at the time of the conference.

  • At present, all attendees must show photo ID and proof of full vaccination (all doses in the primary series and one booster when eligible) OR photo ID and a COVID-19 negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to the event. Please plan accordingly. There will be NO record keeping, copies, etc. of IDs, vaccination cards, or testing materials - it is a visual check only on the first day that you check in at the registration desk.

  • Face masks are currently optional inside the conference venue, but all attendees should have masks in their possession at all times on campus in case of need. Some community establishments may require wearing a face mask.

  • Attendees must sign the COVID waiver form in the Whova app. The waiver form can be found under the "Additional Resources" tab on the home screen of the mobile app. Please contact Daniel Ilkow (dji25@scarletmail.rutgers.edu) with any questions about accessing the COVID waiver.

We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and make additional details available closer to the event.
