In My Classroom

Below you will see a clip of my teaching in a Spanish 1 class. The students are at a novice-mid proficiency level according to the ACTFL proficiency guidelines (2012). This means they are able to identify short memorized phrases in context. The video you will see the instructor (me) review the targeted structures, then re-tell the story based on the song "Soy Yo" by Bomba Estéreo using the circling method (click the link to find out more information on the technique). Students are engaged and are able to identify and occasionally use the structures in the form of answering questions.
