Introduction to Industrial Engineering

This course is designed as an exploratory study in a wide range of technology-related areas. Students will be highly engaged in hands-on, minds-on learning through various problem-solving activities and design challenges. Projects may include: mousetrap powered vehicles, trebuchet catapults, small scale manufacturing/production, multimedia design and image/print transfer processes, rocketry, and Rube Goldberg machines. Through each project, students study STEM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), and follow a design process that emphasizes critical thinking and creativity.Â
