Early Childhood Practicum

This 2nd semester course meets daily for two consecutive class periods to provide for in depth work in child development. During the playgroup setting, the student will serve as a student/lead teacher under the supervision of the classroom instructor. The class is designed to give the student an opportunity to plan lessons, set up a childcare facility, and learn more about the ways in which preschool children learn. Students who meet all requirements will obtain a Level 1 ECE Certification from the state of Illinois.
