Drawing & Painting focuses on experimentation not only with new techniques, but also with ideas. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to multiple modes of creating art work using mediums like graphite, pen & ink, and watercolor paint. Students in this course will be creating, producing & presenting, responding to, and connecting with art to promote lifelong artistic literacy and fluency. This course is designed to foster aesthetic and perceptual awareness of the visual environment and its effect on the individual. Students will be enlightened to view our culturally diverse world with a global perspective. The student’s imaginative and creative capabilities will be strengthened through technical and aesthetic approaches to the creation of works of art.
