Mission Statement: The Monterey Academy of Oceanographic Science, located at Monterey High School, prepares public high school students from throughout Monterey County for academic and career success. This is accomplished through a challenging curriculum enhanced by collaboration with the many marine related academic programs, research organizations and businesses in the area.
The MAOS Gives Back program replaced the traditional internship during the 2020 pandemic, and students completed a variety of community service programs, including reading children's books to elementary students, and offering learning tutorials on a diverse array of topics as ukulele, baking, and organic gardening.
