Students are required to complete career technical courses at each grade level to encourage and prepare them for a career in the medical field. In addition to coursework, students are required to complete 20 hours of community service often served at our local hospital or community events. Students are also required to complete a 60 hour internship in the health/recreation career fields in the profession they are most interested in.
Career Technical Courses Include:
Exploration of Health Careers and Personal Wellness - Sophomores.
Kinesiology - Juniors
Athletic Training - Seniors
Due to the pandemic, students were challenged to find community service hours throughout the county. However, our students persevered by helping out with their immediate family by: accepting responsibilities of helping to teach/tutor their siblings, helping to prepare classroom materials for the upcoming school year, and joining elementary school zoom classes to read and share their experiences and knowledge.
