Required Core Courses: 9th Grade (Class of 2029)

9th grade students are placed in the appropriate Math course by their Middle School Math teacher.

Students who receive Special Education services are placed in the appropriate core classes by their Case Manager.

Students who receive English Language Learner services are placed in the appropriate core classes by teachers, based on their ACESS scores, WIDA level, and current progress. 

Electives and Other Graduation Requirements:

Students need to complete one semester of Fit for Life and one semester of Health to graduate. Students may take these courses at any point in their High School career, but it is recommended that they complete both courses in their 9th grade year, if possible.

Students may take these courses at any point in their High School career, but it is recommended that they complete both courses in their 9th grade year, if possible. 9th grade students will round out their schedule with elective courses. Students can select from a variety of Fine Arts, Physical Education, World Language, and academic electives (including AVID). Read more about our course offerings on the Departments page.
