11th grade students are placed in the appropriate Math course by their Math teacher, with options to take IB or concurrent enrollment Math courses.
Students who receive Special Education services are placed in the appropriate core classes by their Case Manager.
Students who receive English Language Learner services are placed in the appropriate core classes by teachers, based on their ACESS scores, WIDA level, and current progress.
Electives and Other Graduation Requirements:
Students need to complete one semester of Fit for Life and one semester of Health to graduate. If an 11th grade student has not yet taken Fit for Life or Health, they can register to take the classes in their Junior year.
Students need to complete one semester of Ethnic Studies to graduate. Students may take these courses during their 10th, 11th, or 12th grade year.
11th grade students will round out their schedule with elective courses. Students can select from a variety of Career and Technical Education, Fine Arts, Physical Education, World Language, and academic electives (including AVID).
