Four years later, Edison High School presents a second Dear Mr. President. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, students acted and edited to create a filmed play for all to see. This play was a group of student-made speeches, art, and skits all in a letter towards the President addressing the political climate of America at the time.
During the COVID-19 pandemic EHS created a musical adaptation of the french classic involving more than just the theater department but the high school band and music students as well. Sword fighting, crowdsourced dance numbers and gender flexible casting celebrates this classic text. The original play follows a man with a big nose (Cyrano de Bergerac) through his experiences with low self-esteem and his love for a woman.
The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this reimagination of the classic tales. Two narrators and several actors attempt to do a mashup of the 209 fairy tales going from classics like Cinderella and Rumpelstiltskin to obscure tales like the Devil's Grandmother.
