Newsies is about a homeless New York City newsboy Jack Kelly who befriends two newcomers to his trade. When publisher Joseph Pulitzer sets new rules that make it harder for the young newspaper salesmen to make a buck, the boys go on strike. Katherine Plumber, a journalist who's sympathetic to their plight, gives them some tips in public relations, as the newsboys' battle grips the city.

“Move on May” by McKenzie Martin is a funny, whip-smart, and deeply contemporary teen ghost story. While you are laughing at McKenzie’s pitch-perfect dialogue, the deeper emotional arc of this piece will sneak up on you. By the end of the play, you may suddenly realize that you have been watching a carefully crafted fable about what it feels like to be a high school senior, about to leave everything behind them and graduate into an unknown new world.
