This was the main piece of the science portion of the exhibition. I created a poster for JustDiggIt. For my ad design, I used landscape instead of portrait orientation to capture the expansiveness of the scene. I used blurred photo in background to see the difference the earthsmiles make while still being able to see the other parts like the name. I also put a short summary in one corner and a QR code in another corner to give people a quick snapshot of JustDiggIt. I used all caps for the name to make a strong statement
For summary I kept the same font as the title so there wasn’t too much going on but didn’t use all caps so it wouldn’t feel like the ad was yelling at people. We watched a video in class that made me interested in earthsmiles. They changed the African landscape in a short period of time and I thought they could help other places, like Southwest Colorado, too. We have longstanding drought here. I propose that we learn more about the company and contact them to see if a representative could come to Colorado. They could survey the land to see if earthsmiles could help regreen Southwest Colorado.
