My intersession was Team Building with Mr. Madden. On the first day we went to Farmington, New Mexico, to use the ropes course on their college campus. We split into two groups and one group did the ropes course, while the others did a bunch of team building activities. On Tuesday, we drove to the Great Sand Dunes, but it was too windy so we stopped in Alamosa to eat lunch and play games. We finally started driving again, and got to the motel by the dunes. On the first night we went to the sand dunes and played together. We went back, ate dinner, got ready for bed, and then went to sleep. The next morning we ate breakfast, and then did some team building games. We went to the sand dunes and split up for about 3 hours. We came back and ate lunch and drove back to the motel. We had quiet time for a couple of hours before going to the hot springs, where we played in the water and did flips off of the diving board. We also celebrated someones birthday. We went back, got ready for bed, and went to sleep. On our last day at the sand dunes, we went on a hike to Zapata Falls. We ate lunch there and handed out some awards. We finally drove back after that. On the last day, we had smoothies, watched a movie, did some glows and grows,, played a game, and had pizza and ice cream. Overall, this intersession was very fun and I will look forward to it next year.
