Math

In math we are learning about area and surface area. My goal for math is to improve in measurement and data. I will work on this skill in IXL during warm ups.

Unit 1: Area and surface area

Some things we have learned in this unit are how to decompose shapes and find area including two and three dimensional shapes.

Unit one assessment reflection

I tried my hardest on the test and put in my best effort, and I got a meets which is a grade I'm happy with.

Next time I will try to go for an exceeds, and I will also go over my answers before turning it in.

I used effort in the assessment to try and get a good score, and do my best work.

Unit 2: ratios, rates, and percentages

In this unit we are learning how a ratio is a relationship between types of quantities and we will be learning the difference between rates, ratios, and proportions.

Unit 2 final assessment reflection

On the unit two assessment I got a meets, but I did have to make refinements to get my grade up to a meets because at first I needed one more question right.

I think I did well on this because I went back and refined my test to get the grade I wanted.

In the end I got a meets after refinements and moved on.

Unit 2 exit ticket

I did very well on the exit ticket, and I checked over my work to make sure my answers were right before I finished.

Next time I might try to make my answers a little more neat and easy to read.

I used refinement on the exit ticket when I was done I looked over my work to make sure it was good.

Percentages Quiz

For the percentages quiz I got 100 percent on all the questions.

I think I got such a good grade because I paid attention the lessons and listened while the teacher was talking. This definetly helped me understand the concept better as well.

Overall this was a concept I was able to master and do my best on.

Unit 5 assessment reflection

In this unit we worked mainly on the constant of proportionality and the area and circumference of a circle. In the unit 5 assessment I got a meets and I also did the bonus problems.

I think I did well on this unit assessment because I did all the lessons and also the homework packet which included the material of the test and had very similar questions which helped me be prepared.

In conclusion this was a a hard unit but I was still able to gain a pretty good understanding of it.
