We took a field trip to Chimney rock and learned how to throw an Atlatl, we learned about astronomy, we weaved, we learned how to make a fire, arrow heads, and we learned about baskets and ceramics. Then after we did all the stations we went for a hike. My favorite parts were throwing the Atlatl, making arrow heads, and weaving. 

For science I noticed all the different types of rocks that were on the hike, I also noticed lots of fossils from when Chimney  Rock was the ocean floor. For humanities, I thought it was really cool that the native Americans used Atlatls to hunt animals for food and skins.

I gained confidence by asking questions and trying new things. Some of the things were throwing the Atlatl, and finding fossils on the hike.
