Mylestones Towards Justice
Mylestones Towards Justice was the first project we did in Humanities. We looked into the history of the justice system, starting at the American Revolution, the constitution and the Bill of Rights. We also looked at the early government. We then read the book Just Mercy which is a true story about the Justice System. The Justice System throughout Just Mercy shows how people are getting different punishments from doing the same things. We then ended the unit by making ted talks about something related to the Justice System.

In this project we will learn about the US Government and the people who took us from 13 colonies to 24 states. We will read The Marrow Thieves and native american fiction works. We will also study the removal of the Ute Tribe using The Utes Must Go. We will end this unit by doing a waxish museum about historical figures during the late 1700.
