Others will know I'm actually doing it when they see me...
Others will know that I am actually accomplishing my goal because I will be quiet and focused on whomever is speaking. They will see that I have my eyes on the speaker. The difference these actions will make is:
I will increase my learning. I will learn when it is cool to chat with friends and when to stay focused on the speaker. Others will be able to increase their learning due to less distractions. I may have more free time if I am using my time more wisely.
