The yearbook is a memorable collection of photos of the boys throughout their time at Prep.
Format - historically it has included one dedicated page per boy, with supplementary pages covering sports, music, camps, good chap, Terrey Hills, and other IPSHA competitions. It also included photos from a range of Prep traditions - the 'cap throw' (as above), valedictory dinner and jetty jump. Past yearbooks can be found in Prep Reception.
Photos - the following sources are used for the year book:
Parent contributions (inputted directly or via shared google photos).
The Prep photo library.
Photographer - you need to hire a photographer to take the 'cap throw' photo, Valedictory dinner photos and a jetty jump photo - this cost must be included in your yearbook budget. Please contact the Year 6 teachers to arrange a time for your 'cap throw' photo.
Year book (design and printing) - we recommend using a digital platform to develop your yearbook - previous years have used Treering YearBooks.
Timing - we recommend starting in Term 2, so that you have it close to final by mid Term 4 - then you only need to add the valedictory dinner photos and jetty jump photos.
Budget - The school will charge each boy the cost of yearbook, plus postage via their final invoice. Please inform the school of the final cost of your yearbook as soon as possible (and at the latest by mid Term 4).
Cost - We ask that you keep the cost below $70 per boy. The photographer and yearbook provider should invoice the school directly.
Distribution - Please have the yearbooks delivered to Prep, and they will post them to each boy directly.
We recommend 2-3 volunteers for this role.
