MOSMAN PREP P&F - Treasurer

Thank you for considering taking on the role of Class Treasurer - you will be required to manage the class funds, including the class bank account and Trybooking account.

You will also need to request annual voluntary parent contributions and develop a simple budget for the year ahead in conjunction with your class parent team.

The Treasurer can be the same person from early entry through to Year 6, but this is not required (where there is a change you will need to add and/or remove signatories to the account).

CLASS BANK ACCOUNT

Early Entry - set up a year group bank account at your bank of choice in the name of: "Mosman Prep Class of 20xx".
There should always be two parent signatories for the account (non-relatives and from separate households).
The class parent group should be consulted on all spending decisions and budgeting.
The account requires transparency, and if you require reimbursement for any expenditures it must be done by the second signatory to the account.

CLASS CONTRIBUTIONS - YEARLY

Each year the class parents request an optional contribution of $60 from each family for the class account.

Parents will deposit their contribution directly into the class account.
This is to cover teacher birthday and end-of-year gifts, as well as teacher attendance at your teacher thank you event.
Additional items - you may chose to fund other items/events, but only where these directly benefit all boys (e.g. junior costumes, end-of-year class party for the boys). Class parent thank you gifts are not required and should not be paid for out of the class account.
If a family leaves the school before Year 6 they are not entitled to a refund.
Surplus funds in the class account can roll over for the next year.
Funds in the account at the end of Year 6 will be donated to the School and the account will need to be closed off.

YEAR GROUP EVENTS - TRYBOOKING

As Treasurer you will need to liaise with the events team about budgeting and ticketing for year group events (e.g. end of year drinks and father son camps). Trybooking is used for all ticketed events at Prep.

Trybooking Account

Early Entry - Set up a year group Trybooking account for all ticketed events.
When setting up a Trybooking ticket, please remember to elect that the ticket buyer pays the processing fee and a ticket fee (this should not be absorbed by the event organiser/class fund).
The Trybooking account must be linked to the class bank account and the class gmail account (see below).

CLASS GMAIL ACCOUNT

Early Entry - Create a class gmail account in the format MPClassOf20xx@gmail.com
The login and password will then be passed on to the new communicator each year.
This account is primary used as the email address for the bank account and the Trybooking account, and to keep a record of your yearly class bank account reconciliation and other documents.
