For teacher birthday gifts you will need to contact Prep at the beginning of the school year to obtain the relevant dates.
Boys who leave Prep prior to end-Year 6 are given a small farewell gift - see advice below.

GIFT GUIDELINES
Purpose - To support the giving of one substantial class gift from each year group (rather than many individual gifts).
Who's included - Classroom teachers and classroom teacher’s assistants (for EE - Y2). Note - there is no requirement to give specialist teachers a gift.
What celebrations - Gifts are usually given for birthdays and as a thank you at the end of the year. Other circumstances may include marriage or the birth of a new baby. Class parent thank you gifts are not required and should not be paid for out of the class account.
How much to spend - Teacher gifts should be kept reasonable and within your class budget. Please liaise with the class treasurer to decide on the appropriate amount - it should reflect your class budget and not exceed $200 per teacher.
What type of gift - Please consult with class parents regarding gift choice. Given everyone is contributing to this, parents need to be comfortable with what is being given.
When to give - Please arrange for the gift to be presented to the teacher at an appropriate time.
Who is it from - Gifts are given on behalf of all families. A photo of the gift and a brief description should then be included on the class WhatsApp page.
FAREWELL GIFT
If a boy leaves Prep prior to the end of Year 6 it is tradition to give him a small farewell gift.
You can reach out to Prep prior to the end of the year to ask if any boys are leaving.
Gift - Mini soccer or rugby ball - which is signed by the boys.
Cost - $10 per ball, paid out of your class bank account.

When to give - Please contact your classroom teachers to arrange for the gift to be handed over and for the boys to sign the ball.
