Thank you for considering taking on the role of Gifts for your son's year group.

The purpose of the role is to support the giving of one class gift rather than multiple individual gifts.  

Teacher gifts should be kept reasonable, and we ask that you liaise with your class treasurer before purchasing to ensure the gift amount is within your class budget. Please do not request any further funds unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Gifts are usually given to classroom teachers for their birthday and as a thank you at the end of the year. We also recommend that you organise an end of year gift for your year group allocated specialist teachers (e.g. art, music and sports teachers); the P&F will inform your year group of their allocated specialist teachers at the start of each year.

Please arrange for the gift to be presented to the teacher at an appropriate time. A photo of the gift and a brief description should then be included on the class WhatsApp page.

You may also choose to provide a gift when a class family or teacher is welcoming a new baby, spending time in hospital or getting married.
