Welcome soon to be high school freshman!
My name is Gisselle Gonzalez-Perez and I currently am a senior in the Health Sciences Pathway. I attended La Merced Intermediate then I made the decision to attend ATC and let me tell you that these past four years in the Health Sciences Pathway have been by far the best years of my life. I am sure many of you are feeling a bit shy, nervous, and afraid, but do not worry because that is exactly how I felt. As soon as you meet all the amazing faculty in this pathway, your fellow classmates with the same ambitions as you, and begin joining clubs you will realize how this pathway will fill you up with excitement and eagerness to learn!
One tip I have for all of you is to get involved! The experience you get at ATC and in this pathway is what you make of it. If you join clubs, organizations, college courses, and even ROP classes you will make your experience much more greater than a student who decides not to get involved. Not only that, but you will start building up for your college applications! By getting involved I was given opportunities to travel all around California for free, had internship offerings, and I got to take college courses I won't need to take in college. These are just a few of the advantages you will have if you get involved.
I got accepted into 13 amazing colleges and I have decided that I will be attending USC to study in their Keck School of Medicine. At ATC and in this pathway you have the potential to get into amazing schools. I know college seems far away, but trust me these four years will fly so enjoy it. I wish every single one of you the best of wishes and I know you will all succeed! I can not wait to hear about all the amazing things you all will be doing!#FutureIronHorses#2024
