Below is a year by year breakdown of the major themes that students will learn. The Pathway covers many aspects of health and students will finish their senior year by complete a capstone project on a topic of their choosing.
Project Based Learning (PBL) is an integral part of the pathway. We believe that this style of learning is more engaging and results in better learning experiences for our students. Students will be asked to research, think critically and creatively, and work with small groups on various tasks. Some examples include:
-Creating informational posters
-Public Service Announcements (PSAs)
-Creating websites or social media campaigns
-Conducting surveys and collecting and analyzing data
-Presenting to industry partners or other groups of students
The best part of the PBL process is that students have what we call "voice and choice" meaning they have ownership in what they learn about and how the present it. In a good quality PBL project, not two projects look the same.

The School Wide Learning Outcomes (SWLOs) at ATC are:
-Content Knowledge and Thinking
-Collaboration
-Written Communication
-Oral Communication
-Agency
We believe that developing these skills will help prepare students to be successful in their future life goals.
