Hello!
My name is David Aguirre and I have been at the ATC and part of the Health Sciences Pathway for 7 years! ATC, and especially the Health Sciences Pathway is a special place for so many reasons. One of the best aspects of being part of this pathway are the amazing facilitators I get to work with because they are all experienced, dedicated, and caring individuals. The other reason that I love being part of this pathway is because we have cohorts where students are with the same students for 3+ years. During that time, I really enjoy seeing the growth of my students, especially when it comes to their senior year when they apply and hear back from colleges. It is bittersweet to see my students leave to college but I am always excited for their future.
On a personal note, I grew up not too far from Montebello in Alhambra. I attended Don Bosco Tech for high school and later earned a B.A. in history at Cal Poly Pomona. I then attended Whittier College where I completed my teaching credential and a Masters' in Education.
I enjoy many hobbies but my favorite is playing soccer and I still play on both indoor and outdoor teams.
