Conducted on a termly basis, game-based learning makes learning vocabulary and grammar fun and interactive. Students take part in a series of literary games that build on their reading, speaking and listening skills. In addition to English Language learning, students learn to work together as a group and help one another. This strengthens their social awareness and relationship management skills.
Students played and enjoyed various games that allowed them to practice their literacy skills. For instance, in Pronoun Challenge, students must fill in the blank of a sentence with a suitable pronoun. Meanwhile, in Abstract Nouns, students fill in the blank of a sentence with a suitable abstract noun. The answers to all the games are checked and corrected by their groupmates. This form of peer assessment encourages students to test what they know and learn from one another through fun and enjoyment.
