The MLP nurtures positive personal and learning dispositions through mindfulness attitudes, the growth mindset and effective study strategies. As a form of routine, we start each morning with the Morning Mindful Moment, to ground the mind before commencing the day.
We hope to increase students' engagement in learning as well as improve their wellbeing, ultimately developing the Future-Ready Learner - a critical thinker, adaptive collaborator, reflective person and self-directed learner.
The school’s Applied Learning programme, ‘SMART City and Sustainable Technologies’, is anchored on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum. It engages students in applying smart technologies to address contemporary issues such as sustainability, ageing and inclusivity.
Students explore human-centred design and co-create innovative solutions that enhance the safety, security, and quality of life for the elderly and less-abled. Through authentic, curated projects, they develop empathy, creativity, and problem-solving skills, deepening their understanding of how technology can shape a sustainable and inclusive Smart Nation.
The school’s Bilingual Literacy Programme (BLP) aims to nurture our students' love and appreciation for the English and Mother Tongue languages by immersing them in the unique cultures, fun reading activities and learning experiences of each language and build their language fluency in effective communication.
The school’s Learning for Life Programme (LLP) - Learning through the Arts aims to provide a structured learning experience for our students to acquire knowledge and skills in the aesthetic domain, discover their interests or strengths and foster sound values and positive attitudes that will strengthen their desire and love to learn for life. Through the many different aesthetic learning platforms, students are exposed to Music and Art in different genres and forms. Learning is not just for examinations or for future careers, but also for enjoyment and seeking the truth and beauty in life itself.
