Students with the following PSLE achievement levels may be allocated HMTL.
AL 1 / AL 2 in MTL or
Distinction or Merit in HMTL
Note:
HCL lessons will be conducted in school.
HML/HTL lessons will be conducted in centres after school hours.

Offer Letter will be sent via Parents Gateway. Please choose Yes or No to indicate your preferred option by 29 December 2025.
Students opting to take Higher Mother Tongue will only need to purchase the Higher Mother Tongue books.

Registration
Students taking Tamil Language as their MTL are to attend lessons in UPTLC. Students can only register through Manjusri Secondary School by submitting this online registration form before Friday, 26 December 2025. Lessons will begin with effect from Monday, 5 January 2026.
Other Information
Tamil Language lessons will be held once a week on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Wednesdays and Fridays have been designated as make-up days for students who miss their lessons due to valid reasons.
Lessons will start promptly at 3.00 pm and end at 6.00 pm with a 15 minute break.
