“Response effort” needed to complete assigned work seems too great (e.g. has skills to complete assignments but perceives effort needed to complete assignment to be so great).
Classroom instruction does not engage
He or she fails to see pay-off to doing assigned work
He or she lacks confidence that he can do the assigned work
He or she lacks positive relationship with teachers
