When a student is seen behaving appropriately, being kind to others, make a remark to the student about how happy or proud you are to see what they are doing appropriately
Include the specific behavior that teachers are proud of
Use a 5:1 ratio - 5 confirmations, praise and approvals for every 1 criticism. This shows the student that teachers do notice their good moments
