Today, we officially welcomed participants to the Global Canberran Programme (GCP) Vietnam. We outlined the program’s purpose of fostering cross-cultural understanding and building connections between Singaporean and Vietnamese students, setting the stage for an enriching experience.
A brief overview of the itinerary was shared, highlighting key activities such as cultural exchanges, school visits, and excursions. We also discussed the upcoming School Exchange preparation sessions, where students will rehearse their performances and get ready for their interactions with our Vietnamese friends.
The meeting ended with a Q&A session, addressing participants' queries and ensuring everyone is aligned for the journey ahead. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward!
In our second meeting, we successfully finalised the groupings and roommate assignments for the upcoming Vietnam trip. Additionally, we dedicated time to brainstorming and discussing potential group activities to ensure a memorable and engaging experience for all participants.
Today, we had a productive Zoom meeting to finalise the exciting programmes we will be conducting during our trip to Vietnam. We’re thrilled to announce a variety of engaging activities, including a skit, sports games, and interactive lessons designed especially for our Vietnamese friends. These activities will not only foster camaraderie but also allow us to share and learn from one another's cultures.
In addition, we’re eagerly preparing for our first virtual meet-up with our Vietnamese counterparts next week! During this session, we'll have the opportunity to introduce ourselves, break the ice, and start building meaningful connections. We’ve been busy preparing conversation starters to ensure a warm and lively exchange. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the big day!
During our fourth meeting, we had the privilege of connecting with some of our Vietnamese friends over Zoom. This virtual exchange gave us a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and build rapport ahead of our upcoming visit to Vietnam.
Through an interactive Q&A session, we were able to ask insightful questions about Vietnamese culture, local customs, and what to expect during our stay. Their responses provided us with a deeper understanding of their way of life, helping us better prepare for our trip.
This meeting not only allowed us to gain practical information, but it also sparked excitement and strengthened our connection with our host country, making our upcoming trip all the more enriching.
We are grateful for their warm welcome and look forward to meeting them in person soon!
On 27 September, we hosted a briefing session for the parents, led by our tour operator. During the session, the tour operator provided a detailed overview of the itinerary for the upcoming trip to Vietnam, including key highlights of the destinations and activities planned for the students. Mr. Leong, our Principal, also took the opportunity to address the parents, updating them on important aspects of the trip such as safety protocols, learning objectives, and the overall goals of the program. The session aimed to ensure that parents are well-informed and reassured about the educational and experiential value of this overseas trip.
