Canberra Secondary School Overseas Programme

The Global Canberran Programme (GCP), also known as Overseas Learning Journey, is an overseas learning initiative designed to equip our students with 21st-century competencies and shape them into effective leaders of character. Through this programme, students are nurtured to become confident and competent global citizens, adept in navigating and appreciating diverse cultures. GCP prepares our students for meaningful engagement with local communities in Singapore and across the ASEAN region, fostering a deeper understanding of both global and regional issues.

Programme Objectives

GCP encourages students to critically engage with key topics such as community engagement, cultural diversity, sustainability, and active citizenship. By exploring these areas, the programme aims to strengthen students' commitment to and rootedness in Singapore while broadening their global perspectives.

Additionally, the programme fosters empathy and a deeper understanding of others, providing students with the foundation to become leaders who make positive contributions to their communities. GCP instils a strong sense of social responsibility, inspiring students to dedicate themselves to serving the greater public good.
