Today marked the start of an exciting overseas learning journey for our students! We gathered bright and early at Canberra Secondary School at 6 am before heading off to the airport for our 9.45 am flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon landing, we were welcomed by our friendly tour guide, Mr Michael, who gave us a brief introduction to the city as we made our way to lunch. Our first meal in Vietnam? Pho! A flavourful bowl of noodles and broth – a great start to the trip.
After lunch, we headed to the Ao Dai Museum, where students learned about the traditional Vietnamese attire and its cultural significance. It was a fascinating experience, seeing the beauty and elegance of the Ao Dai up close. Our next stop was the Saigon Skydeck, where we enjoyed panoramic views of the bustling city from above.
The day ended with some shopping and exploration at the famous Ben Thanh Night Market, followed by a satisfying dinner.
