Broaden your horizons through authentic & experiential learning
The Horizon Programme was launched in 2022 with the help of a distinguished alumnus who wanted to give back to River Valley High School. This programme is designed to broaden the horizons of students in their first year of Junior College by connecting them with experienced professionals across various industries, offering them a glimpse into the real world beyond the classroom.
At River Valley High School, we believe that education extends beyond textbooks and the classroom. With initiatives like the Horizon Programme, we make this a reality, empowering students to dream bigger, connect meaningfully, and navigate their futures with confidence.
This programme aims to:
1. provide opportunities for students to explore viable education and career options through authentic experiences.
2. inculcate an appreciation for the value of all occupations and how they contribute to the well- functioning of society.
3. provide students opportunities to positively engage with professionals from various industries.
4. provide opportunities for students to have an in-depth understanding of the social, economic, and cultural aspects of a neighbouring country.

Important note
We want as many students as possible to have the opportunity to participate in overseas learning experiences. While the school may make exceptions in special cases, our aim is to create meaningful international experiences that benefit our entire student community.
