The mission of the Girls’ Brigade Singapore is to develop each girl to her fullest potential by equipping, empowering and enabling Every Girl To Be A Leader. The Girls’ Brigade provides training in leadership and character development.
The holistic development of members of the Girls’ Brigade is centered on the programme and the activities, which are based on a four-fold ministry of the EDUCATIONAL, PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL and SOCIAL aspects.
There are two independent badgework programmes catered for different age groups:
Junior STAR Programme (for girls between 8 to 10 years old – Primary 2 to Primary 4)
Intermediate Programme (for girls between 11 to 12 years old – Primary 5 to Primary 6)
The badgework sessions and community service projects throughout the year provides a platform for girls to learn the meaning of living with understanding and compassion, and to be of service to the home, the community, the nation and the world.
