There are a number of options available for students to progress through an applied learning pathways at Mary MacKillop College. Students may select to participate in VET (Vocational Educational and Training) courses either on or off site.
VET subjects enable a secondary student to combine education with training to provide occupational or work related knowledge and skills. They prepare students for the standards expected from employers and industry. Students also receive a Certificate acknowledging completion of a nationally recognised training course.
VCE VET programs are vocational training programs approved by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). VCE VET programs lead to Nationally recognised qualifications, thereby offering students the opportunity gain both the VCE and a Nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificate.
