Be fair, and don't do something to others you wouldn't like being done to you.

Ownership of Petz

• Once you've traded away a petz, you no longer have any say in what the other user can do with that petz. This includes abandoning, reselling, trading away, editing, etc. You can not force players to return petz to you once it leaves your home.

• You are able to lock resale prices, disable breeding, or disable editing only before selling/trading your petz.

• Demanding another player not to resell, trade, or otherwise make any changes to petz that have left your home may be considered harassment, as it is attempting to dictate how another person plays the game.

Cross-Trading

• As of April 15th, 2026, trading or selling Pixel Petz items, currency, or petz for resources or currency in another platform (such as Roblox) is no longer allowed.

• You may trade custom art services for Pixel Petz items, currency, or petz, but art trades must be direct trades. No real world money or currency from other games may be involved.

• Art trades may ONLY be done through in-game messages or through our official Discord server, for documentation and safety reasons. We do not allow sharing personal information for private chats off-app, and requests for these may result in a ban.

• Selling petz, items, or anything in Pixel Petz for real world money or gift cards is against our Terms of Service. This will lead to a ban.

Scamming

• Attempts to deceive other players in any trade where you don't fulfill your side of the deal is not allowed. Common examples include promising edits on petz you're trading, and then not giving edits afterwards, or promising a 'big prize' after buying enough items from your shop, and then sending either nothing or something very different.

• Other common scams include creating fake eggs and trying to pass them off as real eggs.

• Please note that trade regret, where both players clearly know what they were trading but then afterwards one has regrets, does NOT count as scamming.

  • We do not enforce player-made rules. This includes trades where both players agree to trade back if one player regrets the trade, and we will not force players to trade in pets they have fairly bought. However, promising to give a pet in exchange for a 'token' and going back on that is considered scamming behaviour.

Bullying and Harassment

• Call-out posts, whether mentioning another user specifically or with 'hints' on who it is, create drama and are never allowed. This includes profile descriptions, trade messages, or anywhere else you can publicly post.

• When a user upsets you, block them or stop engaging instead of getting into a fight.

• Extreme rudeness and hostility towards other players or moderators may result in a ban.

• Block evasion (communicating or attempting to buy petz from a player who has blocked you), whether using a secondary account or asking another player/friend to do it for you, is not allowed.

Drama

• Purposely baiting, trolling, or otherwise encouraging drama will result in a ban.

Controversial Topics

• Topics such as religion and politics can cause strong emotional reactions in people, and is not suitable for discussion here.

• Brief mentions of religious or spiritual beliefs is fine, but do not debate or attempt to convert others.

• Interactions between players that can make other players feel uncomfortable, such as flirting, should only stay in direct mail. Sexual roleplay is not allowed anywhere.

• Do not give medical advice to others. This includes referring to articles or other websites, as sharing links is not allowed.

Mental Health

• Venting about abuse, self-harm, death, etc can be triggering to other players and are inappropriate topics to post about. Refrain from bringing up heavy topics better suited for close friends or a therapist.

• This includes profile posts or petz descriptions which overshare details of traumatic life experiences or mental health symptoms.

Bug Abuse

• When you discover a bug in the game, immediately report it to bugz@pixelpetz.com. Abusing bugs on purpose for personal gain will result in punishment and possible bans.

User Generated Content

Petz, Partz, Clothing, Descriptions, Messages, etc.

Pixel Petz has lots of content which can be created by you, the user! Due to the wide age group playing this game, all submissions must follow these rules to be allowed in our community.

Here are some general examples of what is NOT allowed:

Hate Speech

• "Anti"-opinions towards individuals or groups of people based on race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender, etc is not tolerated. This includes saying "I don't support X", or hateful DNI lists.

• Content which promotes Nazis or other known hate groups will be removed.

Sexual Content and Profanity

• Drawings of humanoid nudity which isn't appropriate in public context or anything sexually suggestive are not allowed.

• We have a swear word filter in place. Trying to "get around" the filter by purposefully misspelling or using alternative letters is not allowed.

• Any content that references inappropriate material may be moderated at our discretion. Please keep subject matter child-friendly on our app. 

Violence

• Depictions of guns, petz that look like they're in pain, bright red blood and gore are all not allowed.

• Descriptions of petz 'suffering', mentioning suicide, self-harm, or threats to other users are not allowed.

Drugs and Alcohol

• Mentions or drawings of smoking, alcohol, or any other recreational drug which minors should not be exposed to is not allowed.

Personal Information and Online Safety

Staying safe while playing online.

For everyone's safety, information that can be used to narrow down a players' age or location is not allowed to be discussed on Pixel Petz. Even if you are an adult, it's important that all players follow these rules to keep everyone safe.

Personal Information

• Never give away or ask for specific ages. This includes age range (13-17) or birth year. You may, however, say your birthday (month and day) without the year. If you are not a minor, you may provide your age on your profile, but please continue to practice internet safety.

• Do not mention what grade you are in or which school you currently attend. You may, however, say that you're still in school.

• Do not discuss what city or specific address you live in. Country is ok.

• Full names, phone numbers, and emails should never be requested or given out to other players.

• Photos of yourself are not allowed. Pixel self-portraits are ok, as long as they are not detailed to the point someone may recognize you.

• Do not engage in or begin romantic relationships through the app. Searching for a partner is not allowed.

Outside apps

• Requesting usernames for one-on-one chat apps such as Snapchat, Skype, etc is not allowed.

• Sharing or requesting personal profiles on any media which is tied with your real identity, such as Facebook, is not allowed.

• Discord usernames may be shared, however Discord server links are not. Only our official Discord server is allowed, and you must be 13+ to join.

• Links to any third-party sites or apps where any of the above rules are not followed will be removed. Any links to websites which we do not recognize will also be removed.

If any player ever makes you feel uncomfortable, please report them immediately.

Account Management

Use of your account.

This section covers how you can use your account. These rules are in place for fairness and to protect your privacy.

Multiple Accounts

• You are ONLY allowed to have one account per person. Impersonating someone else, or creating an account "for" a friend or family member who does not actually play is not allowed.

Account Sharing

• You should not share your account with anyone else, with the exception of your parent(s) or guardian(s) if you are a minor.

• You are responsible for any actions taken under your account. Protect your account by safeguarding your belongings and account information.

• If you suspect someone else knows your login details, immediately change your in-game password and consider if your recovery email is also safe.

• Selling or transferring your account is not allowed and will result in a permanent ban.

Account Deletion

• At any time, you may go to your account settings and delete your account. This will erase all comments you've made, and suspend your account forever.

• We do not keep copies of your data after you delete it, including your email, so account recovery is not available. Make sure you are absolutely sure before deleting your account.

• The only exceptions are troll accounts or serious predatory accounts, which we reserve the right to permanently ban instead of allowing account deletion, to prevent further sign-ups and protect our players.

This covers the basics, but if content is reported by users and moderators decide it is inappropriate, it may still be moderated. Please be mindful when interacting with other users.

These rules may be updated in the future. You may check back from time to time for a refresher. Continued use of our app means you agree with all of these rules.
