Technology Classroom Procedures
Procedures Poster Reflection:
When using technology in the classroom it opens up a whole new world of classroom management difficulties. Keeping students safe and on task with technology is so important, yet difficult. First there must be standards and procedures in place. along with consequences for breaking procedures. I feel that these procedures will continually be changing as I find out what works and what doesn't. It is important to collaborate with other teachers to see what works for them and it might help you too.
Hyper Doc
Hyperdoc Reflection: This was a fun technology integration lesson and so many great ways to implement it. I chose to use a google slide format that allowed students to click on different objects/ links that would take them to other slides that had other learning links. This specific hyperdoc is about the many textures you can find in song. It has some hiccups, but with some revision this will be a fun & great lesson for my students.
Common Formative Assessment Bank for Guitar
Formative Assessment Bank Reflection:This was a different way to organize and create an assessment bank. I love excel and found it fairly easy to do, but I normally use the canvas banks to create my assessment banks. I need to go back through each question in my assessment bank and add the standards that apply to that question.. I like that I can quickly pull from the bank to assess students and find out where they may need improvement along with evaluating my teaching.

Reflections on Flipped Classroom Videos
I feel there is a balance between having a video that is concise and yet thorough. I struggle with the concise part. I know that keeping students attention is key to this assignment. I found that if it is too long or redundant that students just quickly skip over the video. Also I have found that unless it is done often in your classroom, most students don't even view the video so they are lost when we have the activity. I love the idea of having students watch the video before coming to class and then completing the activity/task, but I need to find a good way to hold kids accountable for watching the video or giving credit for those who did. The element of creativity needs to be present in the videos, but that also takes an incredible amount of time and knowledge on how to create fun videos (animation). It is definitely a learning process. Flipped learning is a great way to approach teaching, but I feel that I need to improve my skills and be more creative in my videos so they are more enjoyable to watch. Its all about balance.
