This session is for you.  During this hour, we define PBIS, dispel common misconceptions, and provide an overview of Tier 1 PBIS implementation. This live virtual meeting will also allow time for Q&A and help identify next steps in implementation.

Likely your school has intensive and individualized supports in place for students demonstrating highly disruptive and sometimes dangerous behaviors, but you may be wondering how to improve the effectiveness of these interventions. This session will define how tier 3 supports fit within a multi-tiered system of support and describe critical features of tier 3 interventions. Necessary systems (e.g., teaming and data) to support tier 3 implementation will also be reviewed. This is an introduction to the Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF). School or community agency staff who are exploring how education and mental health systems can more effectively work together in an integrated way are encouraged to participate. Participants in this training will learn the history and context of ISF and increase their understanding of how the ISF provides the structures and process for moving school and mental health systems from a co-located model to an integrated system. Participants in the training will leave with knowledge of existing resources available to support.
