No attendance if sick policy –Staff are instructed not to attend if displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or are a close contact to someone who is a suspected case of Covid-19.
If Staff member is unwell
– Staff member is taken to isolation area.
– Rooms where the staff member has been are cleaned.
– Staff member goes home, contacting GP with a view to being tested.
– Test results notified to the school.
– Any staff member's children in the school are withdrawn.
If negative ('not detected')
– Staff member returns when well enough to do so.
– All diarrhoea symptoms need to have been resolved for 48 hours prior to return to school.
If positive ('detected')
– HSE will be contacted and will manage the situation.
– HSE will notify the school.
– School will follow HSE advice.
– A detected case, will not necessarily result in partial or whole school closure.
