Science is a wonderful time to encourage teamwork within your classroom. Science is all about asking questions, making predictions and plans. Creating teamwork centered games around these topics can led to a lot of growth and exploration within science. Any example of a game I would use within the science classroom to build teamwork, pictured to the left is titled "Can you Save Fred." The point of this game is to have team members communicate a plan/ prediction, complete trails to save Fred without touching him/ materials with their hands. This is a very inquiry-based learning group project and allows students to have freedom on what they think will work the best. This is a fun game and can be changed to meet the needs of different classes. This game can be timed to increase students speed, there can be a team that wins a small prize for incentive, or it can be used during science time or during free time within the classroom. Using activities like this when extra time allows is a great resource and time filler.
