As an educator, some ways that I will address miscaptions about science in the classroom is through allowing students to ask questions and wonder. In many cases students fear sharing what they know because they think they will be wrong. As a teacher I will allow for students to be wrong when asking/ answering questions. By creating a safe space where students can speak freely, more learning will happen. Once students say the misconceptions, we will work together to solve, find and explore the answers. By allowing students to explore their ideas they will become engaged, and will remember the correct answer, that they found or discovered.
Listed to the left are many common misconceptions within the science classroom! As a teacher it is important we address topics such as these to ensure we create the best SCIENTISTS.
