When speaking with an advisor for the first time, it may feel overwhelming and you may not know what to ask. We suggest asking your advisor any initial questions you have about Miami Regionals and creating a Graduation Plan.
Additionally, we strongly advise that you ask your advisor any questions you may have about your major or majors you are interested in. Here is a suggested list of questions you should ask your advisor:
Can you help me make a graduation plan?
How many classes should I take every semester?
Does my current course schedule make sense?
Am I on track to graduate?
When and how can I register for classes?
What major/co-major/minor might pair well together?
What major/co-major/minor might help me pursue my dream job?
What resources might help me learn more about my major and its requirements?
What electives do you suggest I take?
Can I change my major? How?
I am struggling academically. What other campus resources do you suggest I utilize? Are there any other resources I should know about?

Try printing out this page so you don't have to remember what to ask your advisor. Each regionals campus has a free computer lab, equipped with printers available for student use. You might also want to bring a notebook or keep notes on your phone so you can write down some of the important information that your advisor tells you.
