Tip from Lisa Boyce: It is helpful to practice making a book before you implement SHELLS so that you are familiar with the camera and bookmaking materials. Create a book for yourself with your colleagues, family, or friends. Choose a topic/activity and take pictures throughout the activity. Get comfortable with the camera. Follow the steps outlined in the handout to create a book. Experiment with different bookmaking supplies.
