4. Complete the reflection and practice activities as appropriate for your age group and setting.
5. Complete and submit the Check Your Knowledge quiz (this will generate a certificate of completion)

Reflection and Practice
For Preschool Classrooms and Childcare Settings:
Complete the attached Dialogic Reading Lesson plan using any storybook or non-fiction book. Read the book using the Dialogic Reading Strategies you outlined in the lesson plan and respond to the reflection questions that follow the lesson plan.
0-5 Home Visits and 0-3 Center-based
Practice identifying CAR or CROWD strategies in a book that is part of your lending library for families or in your 0-3 Center-based program. Tag 5-7 pages with notes for implementing CAR strategies. Read the book with a toddler or coach a family to use the CAR or CROWD strategies during a home visit.
CAR:
C- Comment and wait.
A- Ask and wait.
R- Respond and wait.
Dialogic Reading Preschool and Childcare
Practice identifying CROWD strategies in a book that you often read in your preschool classroom or childcare setting and tag 5-7 pages with notes for implementing CROWD strategies. Read the book using the CROWD strategies to a small group of children.
