For my wesearch product I chose to write about my father. Ulises Peinado. Born in 1964 in Uruguay, he started off small. Through hard work, determination, and perseverence, he became incredibly successful, achieving, in his mind, the American Dream. I chose him for this project because he has by far the most inspiring story of someone who started small and worked his way into greatness in my family. Ulises is in Architecture, a field in which his family line is very big on. His uncles, aunt, and grandfather were all architects, and he was thrust into studying it in college. Oppertunity for good Architecture jobs in the United States lead Ulises to Immigrate in the 80s. he completed his education in Miami and started working. Ulises has been dedicated to Architecture ever since. due to his 35+ years of experience, Today Ulises is a high ranking project manager, who takes on leadership, design, and client relationship roles. over the 60 years hes lived so far, hes acquired many skills such as great conversational ability and wonderful adaptability that allowed him to be come the incredible man he is today.

Ulises was born in Melo, Uruguay on July 6th, 1964. he was born to parents Tosca & Nery Peinado. Melo is a modestly sized town in the rural farmlands of Uruguay. There, he completed his General Education with some struggles since he wasnt the brightest. His Father would always tell him that it was important to develop important conversation skills and be alright with unfamiliar situations. these were lessons he'd hold on his entire life. His family pressured him to studying architecture, so he travelled to Montevideo, the Capital of Uruguay for College. This was until he learned about great oppertunity for Architecture in the United States. it took some convincing, but he eventually agreed to move away in the 80s. He moved to Miami and continued his studies at Miami Dade college, before breifly studying in germany, before finally beginning his Architecture Career in New York City.

The American Dream
Many folks believe the american dream is something impossible to acheive for those starting out from the bottom. I generally agree with my father, in that anyone can truly reach the american dream with unwavering perseverence. Ulises believes the american dream is being successful financially and in the workplace, as well as supporting a happy family well. This is my view on the Ameircan Dream as well. we also agree that people need to really work to achieve it. You cant just wait for a handout or good luck, you have to take opportunity and run with it.
