This Pyramid Model share site will not be maintained after June 30, 2025 due to the 'retirement' of MNCoE.
This template has been created to provide Implementation Teams one document to capture work around 3 items:
Running Agenda Template to last for one full school year
Scope & Sequence document to guide your work around each item from the Benchmarks of Quality
Action Plan is built into this document at the very end, in order to be able to easily access your team's Action Plan during each Implementation Team meeting.
Every program is different, so teams can make a copy of this template, then personalize it in order to document their ideas, timelines and ongoing plans.

A Scope & Sequence document is designed to guide consistent implementation of Pyramid Model practices throughout a program. Typically a Pyramid Model Scope & Sequence will focus on monthly social emotional topics that will be the topic area for all practitioners implementing, and that topic is paired with resources, tools, and strategies to support implementation of that skill.
Who in our program should be involved in developing our Scope & Sequence?
Who is available to ensure that the resources needed to support implementation of the Scope & Sequence are available?
How will our program get feedback on how implementation of the Scope & Sequence is working?
How often should we review our Scope & Sequence?
Do we have a curriculum to guide the development of our Scope & Sequnce?
What should be communicated to families around the Scope & Sequence?
Pine City's PM Implementation Team action planned around scaling up to support local child care programs in learning about and using Pyramid Model strategies. Their "Dragon Wagon" goes on the road in the summer and visits local neighborhoods and child care providers, unpacking the van and doing pop up early childhood class. Their team then created their You Tube channel "Pine City Early Childhood" to share videos with families and child care providers and at times even provide the materials needed for activities to the child care programs and/or families. You can also follow "The Dragon Wagon" on Facebook to learn more about their efforts. Click on the box to the left to read an article about the Dragon Wagon that was featured in their local community paper. Let's celebrate the great creativity and collaboration the Pine City Pyramid Model Team has engaged in.
What creative ideas does your Pyramid Model Implementation Team have around collaborating with the community? Please share your ideas with us!
How might you promote the Pyramid Model with local child care providers?
How might you encourage staff to use puppets in teaching social emotional skills and what value does that add?
Thank you to the Duluth Pyramid Model team for sharing this amazing resource.
